Odessa Regional Center Voted Number One Hospital in the Basin Region

For third year in a row, voted Best of the Basin by the community for excellence

in patient service and care

Odessa Regional Medical Center (ORMC) - a Steward family hospital - was voted best hospital in the Permian Basin region by News West 9 (KWES-TV) in its Best of Basin 2019. The Best of Basin designation is an opportunity for the general public to vote on the best institutions around the basin region that deliver exceptional service to the community.

“The physicians and staff at Odessa Regional Medical Center work diligently every day to deliver strong safety measures, medical excellence, and top quality care for our patients,” said Stacey Brown, President of ORMC. “For the third consecutive year, we are proud to be recognized by the Basin community for our hard work and commitment to deliver the best possible care in communities.”

In addition to the Best of Basin designation, ORMC received a number of key recognitions for high quality care last year, including - Best Hospital by the Odessa American; 2018 Labor and Delivery Excellence Award by Healthgrades; 2018 Five-Star Recipient for Vaginal Delivery by Healthgrades; and 2018 Five-Star Recipient for C-Section Delivery by Healthgrades.

ORMC has strong ties to the Odessa community. The hospital and its staff host and sponsor a range of public health and community organizations, including Ector County Independent School District; University of Texas of the Permian Basin; Odessa Fire Rescue; Odessa Police Department; Odessa Chamber of Commerce; Ellen Noel Art Museum; Downtown Odessa, Inc; Crisis Center of West Texas; Harmony Home Children’s Advocacy Center; Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest; Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and many more.
