Odessa Regional Medical Center Announces Inaugural "EMS Stewards of the Community" Awards

In celebration of our Emergency Medical Service, Odessa Regional Medical Center will host an inaugural “EMS Stewards of the Community” Awards Ceremony on May 30th at ORMC.

Odessa Regional Medical Center, a Steward family hospital, will recognize selected Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers for going “above and beyond” in their interactions with patients in the community. To nominate a local EMS provider for an “EMS Stewards of the Community” award, visit http://info.steward.org/EMSTX.html. Nominations must be received by April 15, 2019.

“The men and women of EMS display their valor and commitment to patient safety and quality care every day,” said Stacey L. Brown, President of ORMC. “This is a celebration to honor their brave work and an opportunity to express our gratitude for their service of keeping our families and communities healthy and safe.”

“Once again, Steward Health Care has the opportunity to recognize the outstanding efforts of the brave men and women of EMS,” said Brenden Hayden, Vice President of EMS at Steward Health Care. “We encourage community members to nominate outstanding EMS providers in their community to thank them for their lifesaving work.”

The “EMS Stewards of the Community” awards show appreciation for emergency medical responders, emergency medical technicians, advanced emergency medical technicians, and paramedics who not only carry out the noble work of caring for others, but do so with a high degree of expertise, professionalism, and compassion. An internal committee of physicians and EMS directors will select recipients for the awards among current providers in communities served by Steward.
