ORMC Vaccine Second and First Dose Administration Schedule

Odessa Regional Medical Center continues to work on vaccination efforts through our Community Health Center. Following is the plan for vaccines in the upcoming days / week:

Second dose (booster) administration schedule at the ORMC Community Health Center:
Please note, this only applies to those that received their first dose at the ORMC Community Health Center.

Those that are scheduled for their 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday 3/2 may come February 24, 25, or March 2

  • Pfizer 2nd dose vaccines – February 26 for those scheduled
  • Pfizer 2nd vaccines for ECISD only – March 4

Even if it is past the time window listed on your vaccination card, it is still perfectly fine to receive your booster without having to start over. The CDC’s updated guidance was revised to allow for second dose administration up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first if it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended interval. CDC is not advocating for people to delay getting their second dose, but the data from clinical trials support this range.

First Dose administration schedule at the ORMC Community Health Center:

By appointment only. To register for your first dose at ORMC, call 432-582-8549. No walk-ins will be offered on the dates below due to limited supply of vaccines

  • Pfizer 1st dose vaccines - March 3
  • Pfizer 1st dose vaccines - March 5

In addition to the above, we are working with MCH to transition the process of second dose vaccines. Starting this week, for any person receiving their first dose vaccine at MCH, their second dose will be scheduled at ORMC 3 weeks later. This means, ORMC will start administering second doses from March 15 onwards. These shots will be done either at the Community Health Center or at a Complete Care Clinic. The scheduling is automatic, and each individual will get an email with date, time and location. There is no need to call for the appointment. For those that don’t provide an email, phone calls will be made.
