Odessa Regional Medical Center (ORMC) will reopen its pediatric care unit on Monday, May 3rd, about a year after the space temporarily closed due the COVID-19 Pandemic. During the closure, the 16-bed Unit located on ORMC’s West Campus has been completely renovated with new, beautiful finishes and  will now be staffed with a dedicated pediatric hospitalist team available to serve our patients around the clock.

The newly renovated unit will offer comfortable accommodations such as private rooms and specialized, medical care to ensure comfort and the highest-quality care for our region’s families. A team of board-certified Pediatricians will care for children with a wide range of illnesses. They will also provide care in other areas of the hospital including the emergency room, labor and delivery and the newborn nursery, when needed. Our Pediatric Hospitalists will also work with the ORMC cardiology department to offer high-tech cardiac screenings including stress tests, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, signal averaged electrocardiograms, and event monitoring.
